The Big Lebowski, released March 6, 1998 (the Dude dates a cheque September 11/91 while Bush Sr. talks in the background. I believe it was this very date in this very speech when Bush Sr. says "Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective — a new world order — can emerge: a new era, freer from the threat of terror, stronger in the pursuit of justice, and more secure in the quest for peace." I also must admit that the Dude's '91 aaalmost looks like an '01...):

Independence Day, released July 2, 1996:

The Patriot, released June 28, 2000:

The Peacemaker, released September 26, 1997:

Godzilla, released May 20, 1998 (8:55... 9 and 11):

Trading Places, released June 8, 1983. As Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd approach the WTC buildings they discuss the day of work ahead:
"Nothing can prepare you for the unbridled carnage you are about to witness."
"Pressure? Here it's kill or be killed. Make no friends and take no prisoners."
"One minute you're up half a million, the next minute, boom."
"We've got to kill the motherfucker... we've got to kill them."
... and the very next scene... 8:55 (9 and 11). Just in time for work:
In the pilot episode of The Lone Gunmen, an X-File spin off series which aired March 4, 2001, terrorists hi-jack a Boeing 727 in an attempt to remotely fly it into the World Trade Center:
Enemy of the State, released November 20, 1998:

I'm certain the list goes on...
So is it all just coincidence or is there something much more sinister at work here?
That conclusion I leave up to you.
